The Coach House was just perfect for our few days away, exploring a part of the country, we did not know. It had everything we needed. It was easy to find and the additional information we received ahead of our arrival was reassuring. Kitchen and Shower Room (downstairs) were spotless and well fitted out. Upstairs, the living area was light and airy. The bedroom had ample space for clothes and a lovely comfortable bed! Ample space for our car and easy to go to and fro each day. In the evening, we would walk into town - about 10 minutes tops. There’s a walk across the Common which in itself is lovely, but is also part of the Town Trail, which is well worth doing - so many interesting buildings! If you want to self cater, you have everything you need to support that. There’s a Waitrose in town and other supermarkets on the outskirts. We ate out and can recommend Elizzas, the Cross Keys and Wednesday half price cocktails at the Market House! We really enjoyed our visit. Thank you! L

We had a lovely visit to the Coach house. It was comfy, modern and very well equipped. We slept well and appreciated the blackout blinds in the bedroom and number of plug sockets throughout. You can walk into the town centre and drive to nearby towns. Henry was very friendly, responsive and we were able to use the hot tub which was fantastic. K
Private modern accommodation ideal for a couple, with free on site parking and in easy walking distance to Saffron Walden town centre. For us it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and Henry was a attentive wonderful host responsive to how requests. Would not hesitate to stay again. D

We highly recommend the Coach House and would certainly stay again. It is situated in a perfectly private and peaceful location yet only a short walk from the lovely town centre. It is beautifully furnished to a very high standard with many extra personal touches . Henry is the perfect host, very friendly and welcoming. It’s the perfect place to stay for both leisure and work. This is a real gem. R

About Saffron Walden
Saffron Walden, placed at the north-western tip of Essex, is widely regarded as one of the most attractive towns in East Anglia. A busy market is held every Tuesday and Saturday in the historic Market Square, in the centre of the town. An exciting mix of big brand and independent shops occupy the streets leading to the Market Square, along with coffee shops, restaurants and public houses.
